Miracle! Un nouveau billet! 😉 . Il est dédié aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « Commence par la lettre P ».

J’ai profité des quelques rayons de soleil de ce dimanche, fête du Travail, pour aller m’installer dans le jardin avec mes animaux. Je visais à priori plutôt le chien mais c’est finalement la patte de Finel, notre chatte, que vous pouvez contempler.

Mon métier, ma passion / My job, my passion

Voici donc l’intitulé du thème de la semaine du Projet Photo des Lumières.

Je ne vous parlerai pas de mon métier mais d’une de mes passions au sens large, à savoir les animaux. Je comptais initialement illustrer le thème par une photo plutôt dédiée à l’équitation. Au final, vous vous retrouvez en regard d’un des chas du centre équestre, Dora. 🙂

Je n’ai pas pu résiter à ce joli minois. Je vous avouerai avoir retravaillé la photo et conservé malgré une netteté qui laisse à désirer! Ce qui me ferait presque rebondir sur le thème en disant que je voue également une passion aux retouches effectuées avec Lightroom. 🙂

So above is the title of the theme of the week of the Photo Project des Lumières.

I will not talk about my job but about one a passion of mine, ie animals. I originally intended to illustrate the theme by a photo rather dedicated to horse riding. In the end, you find yourself facing an eye of the cat of the equestrian center, Dora. 🙂

I have not been able to ressit her pretty face. I also have to confess that I have reworked the photo and kept it despite a unsatisfactory sharpness! What would make me almost bouncing on the topic by saying that I also have a passion for modifications made with Lightroom. 🙂

Thème libre / Free Theme

Ouf enfin! Après trois jours d’agonie passés au lit (ou autres surfaces horizontales de la maison) pour cause de grand méchant rhume façon sinusite, je refais enfin surface! Mais quelle idée de tomber malade pendant les vacances… 😦

J’en profite pour vous poster une dernière photo pour le Projet Photo 52. Le thème était libre et je n’ai donc pas pu résister à vous montrer un de mes animaux familiers, Eliasto, un de mes chats, qui tient sûrement le record de participations au projet. Il a tellement l’art de prendre des positions irrésistibles!

Nous voilà donc à la fin d’une année et à la fin de ces trois années de Projet Photo 52! Bien que moins motivée qu’à ses débuts, je vais regretter de ne plus avoir à me creuser la tête chaque semaine pour imaginer comment illustrer le thème de la semaine! Encore merci à Cathy pour ces trois années de découvertes et de précieux conseils.

Phew finally! After three days spent dying in bed (or other horizontal surfaces of the house) because of a big bad cold in a sinusitis way, I finally redo surface! What an idea to get sick during the holidays… 😦

I take this opportunity to post one last photo for the Photo Project 52. The theme was free and so I did not resist to show you one of my pets, Eliasto, one of my cats, who surely holds the record of participations in the project. He has so much the art to take irresistible positions!

So here we are at the end of one year and at the end of these three years of Photo Project 52! Although less motivated as in its beginning, I’ll regret not having to dig my mind every week to see how to illustrate the theme of the week! Again thank you to Cathy for the three years of discoveries and valuable advice.

Lettre M / M Letter

Encore d’un enthousiasme délirant pour le choix du sujet de la photo pour le thème « lettre M »! A vrai dire, j’ai hésité entre le « M » de mon modèle de voiture, une « monture » ou encore un « manège » (d’équitation bien sûr!). Et finalement je me suis dit que cela faisait longtemps que vous n’aviez pas vu mes animaux familiers. Voici donc Eliasto pour « M comme Moustache » et accessoirement Minou ou Miaou. 😉

Still a delirious enthusiasm for the choice of subject of the photo for the theme « letter M »! Actually, I hesitated between the « M » of my car model, and some unmatching in English equestrian terms. And finally I said myself that is was a while you had not seen my pets. So here is Eliasto for « M like Moustache » and incidentally Minou or Meow. 😉

Noir et blanc / Black and White

Noir et blanc… La photo aurait pu être en noir et blanc… Mais j’ai préféré l’illustrer différemment! J’avais le choix parmi mes animaux de compagnie, mes chats tous les deux noir et blanc, et mon chien blanc. Ceux qui me lisent depuis longtemps les connaissent tous, à force de participer au projet 52! 🙂

Voici donc à nouveau Eliasto, notre chat peluche. Je suis d’ailleurs entrain de me battre avec lui pour rédiger ce billet : il vient de rentrer trempé d’une ballade et cherche à occuper mes mains par des caresses plutôt que par un clavier… A force de se faire repousser, il vient d’ailleurs de changer de victime. 🙂

Black and white … This picture could have been in black and white … But I preferred the show it differently! I had the choice among my pets, my cats are both black and white and my dog is white. Those who read me for a long time know them all, as I participate to the project 52 for years now! 🙂

So here again is Eliasto, our plush cat. I am also fighting with him to write this post: he has just returned wet from a walk and seeks to occupy my hands with caresses rather than with a keyboard … As I was pushing him away, he finally changed victim. 🙂

Femme / Woman

N’ayant toujours pas réussi à me mettre aux portraits, je me suis vraiment demandée comment j’allais illustrer ce thème. Je me refusais également de tomber dans les clichés concernant la gente féminine… J’ai donc tout bêtement pris une jeune femme en photo, ma grande fille en l’occurence! Vu le T-shirt qu’elle portait, le jeu de mot sur le titre de la photo devenait facile. 😉

As I still not have managed to get into portraits, I really wondered how I was going to illustrate this theme. I also refused to use clichés about the female … So I stupidly took a picture of a young woman, my big girl in this case! Given the T-shirt she wore, the pun on the title of the photo was easy. 😉

Griffes de chat / Cat Claws

Généralement, pour nos bredeles, je reste dans mes classiques, les butterbredeles, les noisettins, les sablés à la confiture, les vanillekipferln, les petits roulés à la cannelle, que vous avez déjà pu voir passer sur ce blog. Toutes les recettes sortent de ma bible en la matière, Petits fours et bredeles. Et là, dernièrement, je fus prise d’une furieuse envie de bredeles au chocolat. J’ai été faire un tour du sujet sur le web. Je suis tombée sur l’excellent site des Recetttes de l’alsacienne. Si vous cherchez des recettes de bredeles, allez y faire un tour : c’est une véritable mine d’or!

J’ai été y prendre la recette des griffes de chat qui ne figure pas dans mon ouvrage de référence! Et à tort, ils sont excellents. 🙂

Griffes de chat / Cat Claws :

Ingrédients : (environ 50 pièces)

– 250g de beurre mou

– 3 jaunes d’oeufs

– 150g de sucre glace

– 1 cc de levure chimique

– 70g de farine de mïs (ou maïzena)

– 300g de farine

– 1 cs d’extrait de vanille

– 150g de chocolat noir à 70% cacao

Préparation :

Préchauffer le four à 180°C.

Mélanger le beurre mou, le sucre glace et les jaunes d’oeufs. Dans un autre récipient, mélanger la farine de maïs et la levure chimique avec 200g de farine. Incorporer ce mélange à la préparation beurre/oeufs/sucre glace. Puis ajouter l’extrait de vanille et peu à peu la farine restante jusqu’à obtention d’une pâte bien souple. Former de petites billes de pâte de la taille d’une noix (environ 13 g). À l’aide d’une fourchette, appuyer sur les 2 tiers de chaque  »bille » pour laisser l’empreinte de la fourchette, comme des petites « griffes de chat ».

Déposer-les sur deux plaques de pâtissier couvertes de papier cuisson et faire cuire à 180ºC pendant 10 à 11 minutes. Elles ne doivent cependant pas brunir. Sorter les du four et laisser refroidir. Puis tremper généreusement l’extrémité de tous les petits gâteaux (ou seulement de la moitié) dans du chocolat noir que vous aurez fait fondre au micro-onde. Laisser durcir sur une grille avant de les manger ou de les conserver dans une boîte de métal.

Generally, when making our bredele, I stay in my classics, the butterbredeles, the hazelnut delights, the Christmas jam cookies,  the vanillekipferln, the small Christmas cinnamon rolls, that you have already seen on this blog. All these recipes come out of my bible on the subject, Petits fours et bredele. And then, recently, I was seized with a furious desire of chocolate bredele. I’ve made a search on the subject on the web. I came across the excellent site Les Recettes de l’Alsacienne. If you are looking for bredele recipes, go and check it out: this is a goldmine!

I was there to take the cat claw recipe that is not in my reference book! And for wrong, they are excellent. 🙂

Cat Claws:

Ingredients: (about 50 pieces)

– 250g butter, softened

– 3 egg yolks

– 150g icing sugar

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 70g corn flour (or cornstarch)

– 300g flour

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– 150g of dark chocolate with 70% cocoa

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

Mix the softened butter, the icing sugar and the egg yolks. In another bowl, combine the cornflour and the baking powder with 200g of flour. Stir this mixture into the prepared butter / egg / sugar mixture. Then add the vanilla extract and gradually the remaining flour until to obtain a soft dough. Form small balls of dough of the size of a walnut (about 13g). Using a fork, press two-thirds of each « ball » to leave the imprint of the range, as small « cat claw ».

Place them on two pastry sheets covered with baking paper and bake at 180 ºC for 10 to 11 minutes. However, they should not brown. Remove from the oven and let cool down. Then dip generously one end of all cookies (or only half) in dark chocolate melted in the microwave. Allow to harden on a wire rack before eating or storing them in a metal box.

Paresse / Laziness

Comme vous le savez, je tombe du lit à l’aube. Généralement mes chats m’accompagnent dans la cuisine et en profitent pour réclamer à manger et à pouvoir sortir. Il y a encore peu, j’allais leur ouvrir le matin pour qu’ils puissent rentrer après qu’ils aient passé la nuit dehors…

On pourrait supposer qu’ils sont entrain de vieillir et qu’ils commencent à apprécier leur petit confort maintenant. Surtout qu’après peu de temps passé dehors, ils se postent devant la porte-fenêtre de la cuisine en me suppliant de regard (si ce n’est pas en s’étalant sur la fenêtre – flagrant délit d’imitation du comportement canin) pour que je les laisse à nouveau rentrer. C’est surtout le cas d’Eliasto que vous voyez sur la photo. Une fois sa sortie du matin effectuée, il a pris l’habitude de s’installer sur une chaise du salon pour y faire un roupillon.

A noter que la durée moyenne consacrée au sommeil par nos chats au cours d’une journée est de 16 heures! Et parmi la population féline, les animaux ayant le plus besoin de dormir sont les chatons et les chats seniors. Enfin, à l’instar des nombreuses heures pendant lesquelles il se repose, le chat possède également tout un panel positions lors de son sommeil : roulé en boule, installé en sphinx ou étendu de tout son long, il adopte préférentiellement l’une ou l’autre position. Eliasto pratique surtout la boule! 😉

This is especially true for Eliasto that you see on the picture. After his morning walk, he took the habit of settling on a chair in the living room to make a nap.

Note that the average time devoted to sleep during a day by a cat is 16 hours! And among the feline population, the animals most in need of sleep are kittens and senior cats. Finally, like the many hours they rest, the cats also have a whole range of positions during their sleep : curled up, installed as a sphinx or spread over full length, they preferentially adopt one or the other position. Eliasto especially practices the curl. 😉

Détente / Relaxation

A la lecture du sujet, je savais qu’il serait probable qu’un de mes animaux familiers finisse en illustration du thème « Détente ». Effectivement mon matou Eliasto et mon chien Calaël sont champions pour prendre des poses pas possibles lorsqu’ils se détendent… A ce propos, je me demandais si il n’y avait pas une prédisposition génétique de la pratique de la détente chez les porteurs du couple de chromosomes XY? Qu’en pensez-vous mesdames??

Mais revenons au sujet, la détente! Cette semaine, j’ai donc pris quelques photos des deux vedettes citées plus haut. Et j’en ai retenues plus particulièrement deux entre lesquelles j’ai été incapable de choisir! J’ai donc soumis ces photos au vote populaire sur mon compte Facebook. Et là, verdict sans appel de la voix populaire, c’est toutou qui l’emporte! C’est vrai qu’il a l’air trop bien installé sur cette photo. Il s’était affalé sur le canapé de notre salon après que nous soyons rentrés d’une promenade dans les champs. Et quand j’ai pris la photo, il avait vraiment l’air de me supplier de le laisser tranquille afin qu’il puisse savourer son moment de détente! N’allez pour autant pas croire que notre chien est hyper-actif. Bien au contraire! Nous avions demandé à avoir le plus calme de la portée et je crois bien que nous n’avons pas éte volés sur la marchandise.

Sinon, je ne résiste pas au plaisir de vous montrer également Eliasto en position de profonde méditation, toujours sur le canapé du salon. Parfois on a même du mal à y trouver une place pour nous sur ce canapé! Depuis que les températures sont tombées, nos chats, que nous ne voyons pratiquement que pour leur servir à manger en été, sans devenus très sédentaires et ne font que de très courtes virées dans le monde extérieur.

Allez je vous laisse, il faut que je commence à préparer des bredeles, cupcakes et muffins pour le marché de l’Avent de mon village!

But back to the topic, relaxation! So this week, I took some pictures of the two stars mentioned above. And I’ve appreciated two particularly between which I was unable to choose! So I submitted these photos to a popular vote on my Facebook account. And the final verdict of the popular vote is that the dog wins! Yes he looks too well established in this picture. He was slumped on the couch in our living room after we returned from a walk in the fields. And when I took the picture, he really seemed to beg me to leave him alone so that he can enjoy his moment of relaxation! Do not believe so far that our dog is hyperactive. On the contrary! We had asked for the quietest puppy and I think that we have not been stolen on the merchandise.

Otherwise, I can not resist to the pleasure to show you also Eliasto in position of deep meditation, always on the couch. Sometimes we even find it hard to find a place for us on the sofa! Since the temperatures have fallen, our cats that we see almost exclusively for eating in the summer, become very sedentary and have only very short trips in the outside world.

I let you go, I must begin to prepare biscuits, cupcakes and muffins for the Advent market in my village!

Animal

J’avais quelques autres idées derrière la tête mais pas le temps de les réaliser! En effet ma semaine fut infernale! Quand ce n’était pas le boulot, c’étaient mes autres activités qui faisaient exploser mes journées. A ce propos, je viens de participer, à mon âge canonique, à mon premier enterrement de vie de jeune fille. Un cours de cuisine dont je vous reparlerai certainement dans un prochain billet, faisait partie de la journée et nous a toutes enchantées.

Concernant la photo de la semaine, vous avez donc droit à un cliché que je gardais sous le coude depuis le week-end dernier. C’est notre deuxième chat, Finel. Elle est également la maman d’Eliasto qui était déjà à l’honneur dans l’une des photos du projet 52.

J’en profite encore une fois pour louer l’initiatrice, Mlle Ktycat, à qui je dois ma perte dans la retouche photo. Chaque semaine j’attends avec impatience le thème suivant – action pour la semaine 20 – et le récapitulatif – à paraître.

Regarding the photo of the week,  you see to a cliche that I kept under the elbow since last weekend. This is our second cat, Finel. She is also the mother of Eliasto which was already featured in a previous photo of photo project 52.

I take this opportunity to praise once again the initiator, Miss Ktycat, to whom I owe my loss in picture editing. Every week I look forward to the next topic – action  for week 20 – and the summary – to be published.
