Voici l’illustration retenue pour les “Macro Mondays” sur le thème “Connection”.

Je crois que j’aime bien le cuivre! Je suis donc allée chercher deux morceaux de fils électriques. Ils s’effleurent en un timide contact d’où le titre de la photo (et accessoirement le titre d’un de mes films de science-fiction favoris).

I think I like copper! So I went to get two pieces of electrical wire. They fade into a timid contact from where the title of the photo (and incidentally the title of one of my favourite science fiction films).

High Key Macro

Voici l’illustration retenue pour les “Macro Mondays” sur le thème “High Key”.

Il s’agit de la deuxième fois en peu de temps que je tente d’imager ce thème. Après mon chien en début d’année, voici quelques coquillages ramassés sur les plages du Morbihan.

This is the second time in a short period that I try to find a picture for this theme. After my dog at the beginning of the year, here are some shells picked up on the beaches of Morbihan.

Reine / Queen

Après des semaines de laisser-aller sans participation photographique aucune, j’ai décidé de me reprendre en main (je ne sais pas si cela va toutefois durer…;) ) Voici donc l’illustration retenue pour les “Macro Mondays” sur le thème “Reine”.

Il s’agit de la reproduction d’un sceau. Bien que d’allure royale (d’où mon choix 🙂 ), il fait référence à Marie de Bourgogne. Le thème de la chasse lui fût fatal : elle est morte des conséquences d’un chute de cheval.

After weeks of slopiness without any photographic participation, I decided to take control again (I don’t know if it will last… 😉 ). Here is the illustration chosen for the Macro Mondays on the theme “Queen”.

It’s the reproduction of a seal. Even with its royal look (thus my choice 🙂 ), it refers to Mary of Burgundy. The hunting theme killed her ; she died after she fell from her horse.

It’s A-Peeling To Me!

Vous n’aviez pas eu droit à une nouvelle photo depuis l’année dernière 😉 ! Voici donc la première de 2017. Elle est dédiée aux “Macro Mondays” sur le thème “It’s A-Peeling To Me”. Ce titre est totalement intraduisible d’où sa réutilisation en titre de ce billet! Il s’agit d’un jeu de mots qui rend les épluchures attirantes…

Il y avait plein de manières d’interpréter ce thème. En ce qui me concerne, je savais à la lecture du sujet que cela finirait avec un agrume… Il s’agit donc d’une vue de dessus d’une mandarine en cours d’effeuillage. 🙂

You have not seen a new photo here since last year 😉! So here’s the first of 2017. It is dedicated to « Macro Mondays » on the theme « It’s A-Peeling To Me »…

There were plenty of ways to interpret this theme. As far as I was concerned, I knew from the reading of the subject that it would end with a citrus … It is therefore a top view of a mandarin tangerine striptease. 🙂

Cela faisait maintenat quelques semaines que vous n’aviez pas eu droit à une nouvelle photo 😉 . Elle est cette fois-ci dédiée aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « En ligne ».

Avions, trains et automobiles / Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Bien que je ne sois pas particulièrement fan de mécanique, voici une nouvelle une contribution aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « Avions, trains et automobiles ».

On the picture, you can see the rim of my tender halve’s car. In the case you would not regognize, you can conclude that mister drives a Citroën. 😉

Etoile / Star

Voici une nouvelle contribution aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « Etoile ».

L’idée de l’anis étoilé m’était venue à la lecture du sujet. Il se trouve que j’en ai toujours dans mes tiroirs. Et pourtant je n’aime pas les saveurs anisées! J’adore par contre l’utiliser comme décoration de plats en particulier pour les gâteaux et les bûches autour de Noël…

So here’s a new contribution to the « Macro Mondays » on the them « Star ».

The idea for the picture came whilst reading the theme. I always keep star anise in my drawers. But I don’t like its taste! Instead I love to use it as decoration on cakes and logs around Christmas…

Remplie de nourriture / Fill the Frame with Food

Décidément les miracles mettent du temps à se succèder sur ce blog visiblement laissé à l’abandon! Certains ont pu comprendre que j’étais en vacances 🙂 … A vrai dire je m’attendais à être plus active sur la toile pendant ce temps. Mais nous sommes au Royaume-Uni où il faut des adaptateurs pour se brancher… Et il faut dire que les membres de notre famille se livrent à une bataille acharnée pour les récupérer : il y en a 3 pour 5 personnes. J’ai enfin à nouveau réussi à charger mon pc et téléphone! Et voici donc une nouvelle photo 😉 . Elle est dédiée aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « Remplie de nourriture ».

A chaque fois que nous sommes en vacances en Angleterre, je me régale de fruits rouges, framboises et fraises, produits localement. Voici un échantillon de ces dernières soigneusement empilées pour la photo…

Decidedly miracles take time to succeed on this visibly abandoned blog! Some of you were probably able to understand that I was on holiday 🙂 … Actually I expected to be more active on the web during this time. But we are in the UK where you have to get an adapter to connect… And we must say that our family members are engaged in a fierce battle to recover them: there are 3 for 5 people. Le Tableau Périodique / The Periodic Table

Miracle! Enfin à nouveau une nouvelle photo 😉 . Elle est dédiée aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « Le Tableau Périodique ».

Ahh, le tableau périodique! Fut une époque, je l’utilisais très souvent et connaissais les caractéristiques de quelques éléments par coeur. C’est un peu moins vrai à l’heure actuelle mais j’aime toujours m’y replonger. Il y a en fait une foule de renseignements directement disponibles dans cette description des éléments chimiques. Pour ceux d’entre vous pas familier avec la chose, je vous renvoye vers cet excellent tableau périodique en ligne. Et pour revenir à l’illustration, j’ai encore une fois été fouiller du côté d’un laboratoire d’électronique pour y voler quelques centimètres de feuille de cuivre (Cu) roulés en feuille…

Ahh, the periodic table! In the past, I used it very often and knew the characteristics of some elements by heart. This is slightly less true now but I still like to explore it. There is a lot of information directly available in this description of the chemical elements. For those of you not familiar with it, I refer you to this excellent online periodic table. And to go back to the illustration, I have again been searching in an electronic laboratory to steal a few centimeters of copper foil (Cu) rolled into a flower…

Rayures / Stripes

A défaut de recette pour le dernier panier, voici à nouveau une contribution aux « Macro Mondays » sur le thème « Rayures ».

Voici un petit bouquet de résistances électriques. Vous devez savoir que leur valeur se lit sur les petites bandes de couleur qui les entourent. Un jour, j’ai su 🙂 mais comme toute chose que l’on utilise pas, je serai à l’heure actuelle incapable de vous donner les valeurs correspondantes! 🙂

Instead of a recipe for the previous basket, here’s again a contribution to the « Macro Mondays » on the them « Stripes ».

Here is a small bunch of resistors. You must know that their value can be read on the small colored bands around them. One day, I knew 🙂 but like any thing not used, I am currently unable to give you the corresponding values! 🙂
